Hello,
My name is Jay
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa and moved to New York in 2004 where I earned a Bachelors degree from the School of Visual Arts.
In 2008 I noticed some floating trash & the Air Bear project was created. From Sesame Street to Istanbul these inflatable sculptures caught the attention of a global audience. I had the honor of creating a PSA with Environmental Defense Fund which is now part of the permanent collection at the MOMA.
Throughout my career I’ve consulted as a wardrobe stylist for major retailers. Outfitting for brands like J Crew, American Eagle, & The New York Times.
In 2012 - I started using Photography to express myself. Making images has allowed me to integrate all of my creative interests and I have enjoyed pursuing both commercial and personal projects. I’ve create content for clients like Apple, AMEX, Lincoln Motor Company, Nike and Google.
In 2024 I reconnected with painting and drawing focusing on creating a restorative practice attached to nature,
