TOPANGA CANYON

We left the fenced paths of the Canyon.

It was warm in the shade and bright in the sky.

The burnt grasses baked and crackled against the breeze,

A lone tree on the hill watched us cut new paths

as everything happened around its reach.

We returned back the city that afternoon,

and watched the eclipse.
